Born in 1978, Gitanjali did her Masters in Fashion and Textile Technology from Pearl Academy of Fashion, New Delhi. Since 2012, she has been painting at the studios of Triveni Kala Sangam, studying art under the guidance of Sh. Rameshwar Broota.

She has won National level Awards for her artworks such as the 88th Annual AIFACS Award for Best Drawing in 2016, the National Award of the Punjab Arts Council in 2017 and the prestigious Bombay Art Society Award for Best Painting in 2021.

Gitanjali has exhibited her works in several shows at the Visual Arts Gallery, Lalit Kala Akademi Annual Exhibitions, AIFACS Annual Art Exhibitions, NGMA Mumbai, Shridharani Gallery, Triveni Art Gallery, Taj Vivanta New Delhi, Korea Art Summit 2018 etc. She also has an International solo show to her credit, in Irvine, Los Angeles, USA. She has been participating in Art camps and workshops regularly.

Her works are part of private collections in India and abroad.
