SANDEEP JOHARI

About
Born on 7th of April 1965 into the family of internationally renowned author and artist late Shri Harish Johari, childhood for Sandeep Johari flew on the wings of spiritual inheritances of wisdoms, lores and deep Indian art and cultural traditions. And being almost the chosen nephew of his illustrious uncle - the author of many books on ancient Hindu knowledge and practices viz. ‘Dhanwantari’ about Ayurvedic lifestyle, ‘Healing Cuisine’ about Ayurvedic cooking, ‘Chakras’ about 7 psychic centres, in body , ‘Tools for Tantra’ about Yantras to meditate upon, ‘Breath Mind and Consciousness’ about Swar Yoga of breath control, ‘Numerology’ and ‘Leela’ about the ancient snakes and ladder game of Knowledge, Sandeep got direct instruction in his meditative walk through traditional Indian art, his passionate calling, from this great teacher in person. "I was personally guided and taught Classical Indian Art in Wash technique of painting (which originated from Shantiniketan, West Bengal India) by my uncle and his teacher too, Master Chandra Bal of Bareilly." This influence remains among Sandeep's earliest and deepest reminiscences. In the years that followed, apart from having worked on a series of paintings on Mythology - especially the life of Shri Hanuman – Sandeep has illustrated 2 books i.e. ‘Hanuman’s journey to the medicine mountain’ and ‘Karna the greatest archer in the world ‘ in classical Indian style published by Innertraditions Inc. Vermont in 2005 and 2006 as a part of a series of books published on classical Indian stories.
